A continuous wrap of 3-D leaves encircles an exterior stairway that acts as the pivot point between two housing buildings within a large King County Housing Hope VI redevelopment project. The stair is visible from many vantage points – the new main street, many housing units, parking, etc. Both the exterior and interior views of the leaves play a part in the final piece. The complex shadows, full and glimpsed views are constantly changing when people climb the stairs and use the area
