Greenbridge Housing Project, Seattle, WA.

Three sculptures approx. 24” Dia x 12’ H (variable), Cedar, stain, wrought iron

King County Housing Authority

Greenbridge is a redevelopment of a 1940’s county subsidized project into a mixed income, high density, sustainable neighborhood with a “town center”. Law's project dealt with the main street. Faced with modest budgets, Law developed three massive wood sculptures that were realized with a chain saw carver. The three sculptures are spaced down the four-block street – figurative presences that are benevolently standing watch and populating the street. Each sculpture was sawn, then hand-finished and stained. Wrought iron “tops” complete the forms. The first one has been installed. The other two will be installed in 2008 when future construction of buildings is complete.
